NOBILE 1942 Malia Travel Extrait 10 ml
It's the late 16th century, the height of the Counter-Reformation, in a small town in lower Piedmont where the Church's authority is at the height of its power, reaching far and wide and influencing consciences. Any deviation from common behavior and imposed rules is frowned upon. A girl of extraordinary beauty is singled out for her rebellious temperament, her disregard for popular opinion, and perhaps for the envy and fear her charm inspires. Her soft body, her way of observing others, her curiosity about the world, and her boldness both attract and frighten. Her loved ones' attempts to defend her and the lack of concrete evidence are to no avail: the girl has no intention of bending, begging for a forgiveness she feels she must not ask for. The purifying stake awaits her, and, paradoxically, only the executioner will show her solidarity, offering her a substance that renders her unconscious at the crucial moment. A narcotic like her penetrating and sensual gaze, capable of intoxicating those who pass by and fall under her spell.
“…And that uncontainable explosion of hatred, from individuals who until a few days earlier hadn't even known she existed and now wanted her blood, her entrails, demanding to kill her themselves, right there and then, with their own hands... Was there perhaps a meaning, a reason to all this? And if there wasn't, why was it happening? She thought: I'm here, and I don't know why I'm here; they're screaming, and they don't know why they're screaming. It seemed to her that she was finally understanding something about life: a senseless energy, a monstrous disease that shakes the world and the very substance of which things are made […] Even the much-vaunted intelligence of man was nothing more than a seeing and not seeing, a telling of vain stories more fragile than a dream: justice, the law, God, hell...” [“The Chimera” by S. Vassalli]

"Magic" is the mysterious ability to ensnare a prey by exerting a sort of occult persuasion, not necessarily through actual magic. Looking at the past with the rational eyes of the present, no one believes that witches were truly concubines of the devil in exchange for magical powers. But it is nevertheless fascinating to think that these women were truly capable of performing acts of magic. A woman has a thousand tools to be seductive: clothes, accessories, makeup... But perfume is something impalpable that can silently enter our nose, work an unconscious magic in our brain and make us imagine something that goes beyond what we see.
I imagined the perfume of an innocent and modern witch, of a woman who seduces with a candid smile, while with a barely perceptible look she suggests a complex, profound, expert, and provocative personality. A woman who plays at being a child, but who draws strength from the earth to stun her prey. I chose an unusual flower, with a dual nature: refreshing, yet sweet; delicate, yet Intoxicating. I dressed it with spices and aromatic plants and gave it body with a structure that speaks of a strong-willed woman. But I also wanted to remember that sometimes a person can trap us simply with a look that leaves the scent of a narcotic in our imagination..."
