SPEZIERIA DI SAN MARCO
In collaboration with the Fondazione Museo della Scuola Grande di San Marco, with the aim of rediscovering and enhancing the ancient tradition of Venetian Apothecaries. This tradition has its roots in the Scuola Grande di San Marco, founded in 1437 and deeply linked to medical and botanical knowledge, preserved for centuries by the friars of the nearby convent of Saints John and Paul. It was in this context that the apothecaries were born, real shops in which remedies based on herbs and essences were prepared, anticipating the modern concept of pharmacy. Spezieria di San Marco is inspired by the very rich cultural and olfactory heritage, which it reworks through a collection of Eau de Cologne and one of Eau de Parfum, made with the best raw materials of the Mediterranean, in particular from Calabria, renowned for the excellence of its citrus fruits.
