PLISSON
Napoleon shaved himself without going to a barber. During military campaigns, he carried all his toiletries with him: shaving brush, comb, razor, scissors, nail file, toothbrush, and a bottle of cologne. In 1808, to meet a specific request from the emperor, Jacques-Louis and Marie-Hélène, the founders of Plisson, used their craftsmanship and ingenuity to create a traveling shaving brush for the Emperor. Plisson has always retained the eagle in its branding, in homage to its most famous customer. Since 1808, Plisson has made all its products in France. Its first factory was near the Palais Royal, in the heart of Paris. Plisson has never left France; for nearly half a century, Brittany has been home to the Plisson Manufacture. In a modern factory, master craftsmen, as is tradition, work with passion and expertise to create extraordinary products.
