Antoine Soradora, born in 1902 in southern Portugal into a religious family, was destined for the priesthood, but from childhood he nurtured a deep and secret passion for the scents and aromas of nature. In 1920, at the age of 18, he chose to leave Portugal and move to Gréasque, France, to work in the mines. There, he transformed his modest home into a lush aromatic garden. Exploring the region, he discovered the town of Grasse and met Etienne, an older jasmine grower with whom he formed a deep friendship and collaboration. Hired as head gardener, Antoine began secretly creating perfumes with Etienne.
