You should not confuse the 'amber' accord with the natural raw material 'amber'. The first is an association of balsamic notes used as a base to create oriental fragrances. The second is a raw material of animal origin, also known as "ambre gris" which comes from the secretion of the sperm whale and which allows the different facets of a fragrance to be fixed for a long time.
