After a perfume, a candle is a way to experience a smell every day: entering a room, closing your eyes, and slowly inhaling it for the pleasure of it.

 

With this N°6 candle, at 6 rue de Budapest in Paris, Marc-Antoine Barrois wanted to fill his Maison de Couture with olfactory memories of his childhood: memories of a large house where his grandfather's elegance prevailed, the smell of leather from a precious briefcase or other bags.

The warm atmosphere of an afternoon spent with family in the living room by the fireplace, with a few delicate scents wafting here and there from the kitchen where snacks were being prepared.

 

Perfumer Quentin Bisch has once again immersed himself in the world of the couturier.

Thus, he worked around the same leathery, woody, and spicy structure, adding ambery notes and smoothing them with smoky notes to create a scented candle that showcases his taste for refined materials.

 

There's also a fruity hint, with peach and plum flavors, that ignites this harmony of amber and wood, blended with hints of sandalwood and patchouli.
